• Irwin Conner

Irwin Conner was born and raised in Cashmere and graduated from Cashmere High School in 1959. He then attended Whitman College and later graduated from Central Washington University in 1968 with a BA degree in Business and Specialty Accounting.

After Irwin’s marriage to Judy LaFreniere, the couple moved from Moses Lake to Wenatchee where they both continue their careers as CPA’s and principals in the firm of Cordell Neher & Company PLLC.

Community service has always played a meaningful role in Irwin’s life. The sense of accomplishment and personal satisfaction from giving something back to one’s community would be very difficult to duplicate. Some of these communities serviced include: A member of the Cashmere Lion’s Club since 1970 where he is a past president; a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship Award and Lion-of-the-Year Award in 1983-84. He played an integral role in his firm’s community service day. For the past 16 years, his firm reserves a weekday to close their office to devote the day to service in the community. He is a founding board member of the Wenatchee Rebuilding Together Association that does repair work on personal homes and for the needy people in our community. Mr. Conner has served 8 years on the Wenatchee Valley College Foundation Board of Directors. Just recently Irwin and his wife, Judy, successfully co-chaired the Nurses for Tomorrow Fundraiser Campaign to expand and enhance the nursing program at Wenatchee Valley College. The campaign goal of 1.6 million dollars was exceeded.

Irwin has always valued growing up in a small community like Cashmere. He feels the quality of education your receive at Cashmere High School as well as the life-long friendship make here, are so meaningful and have carried him through his successful career.
