• Richard (Dick) Langum

    Richard Langum graduated from Cashmere High School in 1962. After high school, he attended Eastern Washington College of Education. While there, he earned his major in Mathematics and his major in Mathematics and his minor in Physics. He later went on to acquire his principal and superintendent credentials at Washington State University.

    In 1966, Dick married Ginny Lackner and they were blessed with three children: Scott, Shelley, and Stacey.

    Dick’s career spanned three school districts. He taught and coached in Monroe. He held the position of principal and superintendent of Colfax. In 1990, he returned home as the superintendent of Cashmere Schools.

    Dick has served as the president of Kiwanis and as a director of the Chamber of Commerce. He has been named the Washington Vocational Administrator of the year and honored by the Boy Scouts of America.

    Dick’s most valuable gifts are his enthusiasm, his positive outlook, and his love for his children.
