Rolland A. Schmitten
Rolland A. Schmitten graduated from Cashmere High school and then went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps. After completing his time in the service he held numerous government positions. Some of these include Chelan County Port Commission, Washington Department of Fisheries Director, Chief of Staff for Natural Resources, and was appointed by the President to the position of Assistant Administrator of Fisheries and Director of National Marine Fisheries.
Mr. Schmitten has made many contributions to the Cashmere community throughout his life. He served on the Cashmere City Council and was also a small business owner in Cashmere. Even though Mr. Schmitten does not live in Cashmere he says, “I’m proud to tell people of my home (Cashmere).” His heart will be here always.
We proudly welcome Rolland A. Schmitten to Cashmere High School’s Wall of Fame.
