Ralph “Pete” Peterson
Ralph “Pete” Peterson graduated from Cashmere High School in 1931. He then attended Eastern Washington University where he played football and basketball under his former high school coach “Red Reese”. After graduating from E.W.U. in 1935, Mr. Peterson returned home to Cashmere where he taught junior high and coached many sports at the high school level. Some include football, basketball, and track. In 1936 he married Ruth Long. The couple had two sons.
In 1942 Mr. Peterson gave up his teaching position in Cashmere and returned to Eastern Washington University where he coached football for one year. From that time until retirement in 1982, he was in the orchard business. A large amount of his free time was spent attending school activities and supporting his community. His dedication and pride to his town will be appreciated always.
We proudly welcome Ralph “Pete” Peterson to Cashmere High School’s Wall of Fame.
