My current job title and description: Coordinator, Student Life and Development - California State University, Long BeachI advise student organizations with regard program planning, analyze student programs, counsels students, coordinate special programs, and design and present a variety of leadership training opportunities for emerging and continuing student leaders I also plan student Conferences, Pow Wow, student outreachs,and cultural Graduation Celebrations.

My future career plans if you are interested in changing your career:
My future plans will be to remain in higher education and establish programs that will help underrepresented students continue to purse their education and gain leadership skills to make a difference in their community.
Your proudest moment since high school:
Graduating from CHS was one of my proudest moments as it opened so many doors for me. I am the first member in my family to graduate from high school and purse a higher education. I continued my education and now became the first member in my family to have graduated with a masters.
One piece of advice for high school students:
I was ASB Secretary for my last year at CHS. Representing the student body as the only Latina on the ASB board was a great accomplishment. As a freshmen I never would have imagined being on the board. My advice for high school students would be not to sell themselves short. There is so much more out there to explore and the first part begins with exploring your opportunities in high school to keep exploring the world after graduation. There are endless opportunities if you are persistent and consistent with your goals.
