Myrle Harnden
Myrle started her education in a one room schoolhouse in Frankenville, Indiana. She graduated from Cashmere High School in 1933. In 1935 she married her sweetheart and together they raised four boys, all of whom graduated from Cashmere High School. In all, she had 26 children and grandchildren attend Cashmere High School.
Myrle attended all home and away athletic games of all her sons and grandsons. Other students became her unofficial “Grandma Harnden”.
Myrle has been active in community organization her entire life. She had been a PTA officer, a Den Mother, a volunteer for the needy, and taught Sunday School for 69 years.
Grandma Harnden is a wonderful person and a role model and we are proud to welcome Myrle Harnden to Cashmere High School’s Wall of Fame.
