Hi there! I am Kelsey Anderson and I teach 6th grade math and science at Cashmere Middle School. I grew up in the outskirts of Snohomish, Washington on the other side of the mountains and am a 2010 Monroe High School graduate. I recently earned my K-8 teaching certificate from Western Washington University where I majored in mathematics - elementary education. While math did not come easy to me growing up, I was lucky to have supportive math teachers in high school who completely changed my impression of the subject. Life gets easier when math isn’t a struggle!

During college, I told myself that when I have my own classroom, it must be somewhere on Highway 2 - the most beautiful part of Washington state. I have kept that promise to myself and couldn’t be more pleased with working in Cashmere. I’m looking forward to a wonderful year!
