Foremost, Mrs. Hemmer has a passion for academics, literacy, and American History. Additionally, she has a bachelor’s degree in English literature from Portland State University (2004) and a master’s degree in education from Grand Canyon University (2020). She also participated in 3 Gilder Lehrman Institute for American History year-long teacher seminars from 2007-2010. Mrs. Hemmer taught junior high humanities in southern Oregon from 2006-2010. She stepped away from the classroom in 2010 to focus on her family. During that time, she moved to the Wenatchee Valley with her family, officially returning to education in 2021 as a Humanities teacher at CMS. 

She enjoys all the bountiful nature that the Wenatchee Valley has to offer.
