My name is Lena Flagel, and I have been teaching at Cashmere Middle School since 1996.  I love what I do, and I love working with children from all walks of life. Teaching is my blood. My mother was a teacher, and I am happy to follow in her footsteps.

I am thrilled to be the Reading Intervention Specialist for CMS. I am given the unique opportunity to work with smaller groups of students and celebrate progress, daily. If you were to visit my classroom, you would see students working on fluency, decoding multi-syllabic words, building vocabulary, and increasing their comprehension. 

Cashmere is my heart and a place I have called my home, forever. Growing up in a small town is a gem that is often overlooked. I flourished in the Cashmere School District, and now I am honored to be a part of a system that enriched my life so greatly.
