Superintendent
Since 2003,
Glenn Johnson has served as the superintendent of schools for the Cashmere
School District. During his tenure, he
has worked hard to build and sustain a close working relationship between the
schools and the community in order to realize the district’s mission of
“ensuring a quality education for all students.” He subscribes to the belief that the only way
to reach excellence is through partnerships and collaboration. Under Glenn’s leadership, the school district
has launched “Cashmere Cares” which primary
purpose is to expand and enhance the partnership between the school district
and the community in an effort to broaden the “safety net” for kids!
Glenn
attended Central Washington University where he earned both a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Business Education and Master of Arts in Educational
Administration. He later earned his
superintendent credentials through Washington State University. In 2004, Glenn and his wife, Danielle, and their
four children returned to Cashmere when he accepted the position of school
superintendent. This was a homecoming for Glenn as he was raised and attended
schools in Cashmere. Education runs in
the Johnson family as his father, Dick Johnson, served as the Cashmere and
Wenatchee Superintendent for a combined twenty-four years and his brother,
Mark, has served as the Nooksack Valley Superintendent for the past twenty
years.
