Welcome!

In an effort to inform the residents of Cashmere School District of events dealing with the care and well-being of our students and provide health-related articles, we have set up this web site.

*** Physical and mental health play important roles in academic achievement.***

Some of the areas we address as school nurse and health clerk include:
direct student care, contact with parents/physicians, documentation, medications,
maintaining nursing files, immunizations, staff meetings/in-service training, mandatory vision/hearing/scoliosis screenings, home visits, referring students to counselors/Medicaid.
It is not just putting bandaids on anymore.  We address the psychosocial issues and help teachers by preparing or assisting their students to have a better learning experience.

CASHMERE SCHOOL DISTRICT'S MEDICAL LIBRARY:
We are building a lending library of anatomy parts, audio-visual teaching aides, and other tools used to enhance lectures.

Medication Update:
The school district is required to have an authorization form completed by the prescribing physician and the parent/guardian in order to dispense prescription MEDICINE. Over-the-counter medication requires an authorization form signed by the physician and is for 15 days.  A longer authorization can be obtained.
Call our office for further information.

High-quality nursing care is one of the most important things that we can provide for a child.
