An interview with Mr. McCormick by Tessa M.

1. What is your job at Vale? Have you ever taught anything else?
I am the P. E. Teacher. I have always taught P.E.

2. How long have you worked here?
Since 2003

3. Who are the people in your family? Do you have any pets?
My wife’s name is Dawn – she is the music teacher at the Middle and High School. I have 3 children – Michael born in 1994, Tessa born in 1996 and Shane born in 2000. We have one dog named Jazz.

4. Have you had any other careers or jobs?
Other careers I have had include installing carpet in Seattle and detailing cars for 2 year.

5. Where did you go to college? What is your degree?
I attended Yakima Valley Community College and Central Washington University. I have a B. S. in Physical Education.

6. Why did you want to be a teacher? What inspired you?
I became a teacher because I wanted to be able to coach kids.
I was inspired by being a 3 sport athlete myself.

7. What do you like to do outside of school? Do you have any hobbies?
I enjoy many activities including, fishing, camping, water skiing, football and playing with my kids. My hobbies include golf and fishing.

8. Are there any interesting facts you want people to know about you?
My nick name is Mr. Clean.
