What is your job at Vale? Have you ever taught anything else?

Currently a Librarian but have taught 7th, 1st, Music, Preschool, 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc.

How long have you worked here?

Since 1978

Who are the people in your family? Do you have any pets?

My husband’s name is Kim, I have a son Corbin who was born in Cincinnati, Ohio and a son Ben who was born overseas. I don’t have any pets.

Have you had any other careers or jobs?

I was a church secretary while going to college during the summers.

Where did you go to college? What is your degree?

University of Colorado with a degree in Psychology. Kansas City State University for graduate work in History and Education.

Why did you want to be a teacher? What inspired you?

I thought that being with children and helping them learn would be the best of all possible jobs. I was inspired by wonderful teachers who helped me learn.

What do you like to do outside of school? Do you have any hobbies?

I love to travel, read, garden, cook, attend musical events and spend time with family and friends.

Are there any interesting facts you want people to know about you?

I’ve lived in 14 different states and have visited over 40 states and 20 foreign countries.
