An interview with Mrs. Caples by Cara C.

1. What is your job at Vale? Have you ever taught anything else?
I teach 4th grade, but I have taught 3rd grade for one year.

2. How long have you worked here?
Since 1991

3. Who are the people in your family? Do you have any pets?
My husband’s name is Miles. I have a daughter named Jennifer who was born in 1984, a son named Nick who was born in 1985 and a son named Matt who was born in 1987. I also have 2 beagles named Cale and Trey.

4. Have you had any other careers or jobs?
I worked at Eddie Bauer for awhile.

5. Where did you go to college? What is your degree?
I graduated from Washington State University with an Elementary Education degree and a Masters Degree from Walden University in Reading and Literacy.

6. Why did you want to be a teacher? What inspired you?
I loved teachers and going to school. I had great teachers in school and college.

7. What do you like to do outside of school? Do you have any hobbies?
I like to walk, do yoga, read and cook.
