Biography

Mrs. Som (formerly Miss Sturtz) began her teaching careerin 1991 after graduating from Chelan High School, attending Eastern Washington State College for four years, and continued work for her Masters Degree at Leslie College. After leaving college, she sprang right into teaching at Cashmere Middle School. Apart from teaching, Mrs. Som coaches seventh grade girls' basketball, and seventh and eighth boys' basketball. She says her favorite thing about teaching is bringing out the best in students. At home, she has a Siamese cat and enjoys doing athletics of all sorts. When she is not teaching, her favorite things to do are run and play basketball.
