We are building a Medical Lending Library including:

* Anatomy Models (Ear-Skeleton-Eye-Heart-Teeth-Brain-Torso)
* 3-Dimensional Charts
* Educational Videos
* Books

...all to enhance instruction with visual and hands-on learning. Health education needs to address primary prevention of heart disease, obesity, hygiene, infection control, tobacco use, and other substance abuse.

Each school/teacher within the Cashmere School District will have access to items in the library on a check-out system to be maintained, cataloged, and supervised by the Nursing Department.

The purpose for developing a Medical Lending Library is to aid in an educational program for the entire school district, K-12 consisting of over 1,500 students. The use of models will assist teachers in their lectures. Injury programs using visual aides can be included in a quality health education curriculum. We have already purchased a full-sized skeleton, a brain model, and a full torso.
